Water is a fundamental human need. Each person on Earth requires at least 20 to 50 liters of clean, safe water a day for drinking, cooking, and simply keeping themselves clean.
53,000 Pakistani children under five die annually from diarrhea due to poor water and sanitation. Children suffering from repeated episodes of diarrhea are likely to fall behind in school or drop out altogether.
This project’s objective is to install hand pumps within impoverished communities, facilitating access to clean and safe drinking water. By mitigating the risk of waterborne diseases, the endeavor aims to significantly improve public health outcomes in these districts.
This project is operating in Gujranwala villages and Sialkot.
Small Efforts Trust will continue to extend its social and economic services to ensure the availability of clean drinking water. In the future, Small Effort Trust aims to extend its efforts to such a project where the poor can enjoy a healthy life. And SET will continue to install hand pumps for clean drinking water across Pakistan.
