Murree Agriculture Project

Small Effort Trust has taken steps to encourage the agriculture community of Murree as a Model for the Agriculture Industry to enhance the importance of this sector.

Our primary objective is to equip residents with the necessary resources to cultivate diverse crops, including vegetables, fruits, and trees, by supplying complimentary seeds. 

In addition to providing seeds, our project extends support to address the challenge of wildlife interference in agricultural activities by installation of fences among lands.

Project location: Union Council: Potha Sharif, Murree

Objectives

  • To overcome the poverty ratio by the provision of agriculture seeds
  • To enhance the importance of agriculture in our society
  • To provide a safe zone for farming

Impact

  • More than 1000 families are getting benefits in the form of free seeds of fruits and vegetables from this project and in the next 3 years, they will be able to start earning from these lands.
  • 100 women are running their kitchen from own vegetable cultivated on their land
  • 50 acres of land have been used for this project and people are growing different fruits, vegetables, and plants.
  • Project scope has extended on interest of Local stakeholders from 01 Union council to 03 union Councils (Potha, Phagri and sair bagla)
Future Goals

Small Effort Trust will continue to extend its Socially and Economically services to ensure that people of Murree improved their livelihood by owning the agriculture activities. People of Murree will realize the significance of agriculture and sensitize their community on the Importance of Agriculture.
